I'm slowly cooking my way through the recipes listed in Mexican Everyday by Rick Bayless with Deann Groen Bayless and writing little reviews of how each recipe turns out.

Try useing a jalipino. They are much cooler than a seranno.
Strange, I've always found serranos to be less spicy than Jalapenos. I found that the onions were way too powerful in this recipe, but I tend to find that in most fresh salsa (pico de gallo) recipes. Any ideas on getting a better balance?
