Chunky Fresh Tomato Salsa Review

3 stars, but could easily be 4 (on a 5 star scale) p. 144-145 I want my basic tomato salsa to be cool and refreshing. This looked right but didn't taste right -- it was way too spicy. I used two serranos with seeds but not stems. Next time I'll use one or less, or maybe just chop them finely myself and add them to taste at the end. On the plus side, it's really easy to make.

Try useing a jalipino. They are much cooler than a seranno.

Strange, I've always found serranos to be less spicy than Jalapenos. I found that the onions were way too powerful in this recipe, but I tend to find that in most fresh salsa (pico de gallo) recipes. Any ideas on getting a better balance?
